First Trimester: Weeks 4-13

Tyler and I were SO thrilled to find out we were expecting a baby. We found out in early October, and it finally started to feel real when I had my first doctor's appointment on November 16th.

It was so crazy to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time! There is something in there-crazy!

It was fun to try and think about how we would tell our parents. Although we really wished we could be there in person! We found this itty bitty pumpkin at a pumpkin patch in Grapevine and just had to get it. We used it to tell my family over skype, and it was awesome to see how surprised and excited they were. 

Ty's parents were coming for his White coat ceremoney in just a few weeks, so we decided to wait and tell them in person. They got quite the shock! Our sister in law Becca is also pregnant, and she is due this summer in May. We dropped the bomb on them by saying, "Are you getting excited for a new grandchild this summer? How about two of them?" It took them a few seconds to catch on, but it was great to see their reaction.
