White Coat Ceremony & Parents come to Texas!

Ty's parents came to visit in October for the big White Coat Ceremony. It was the first time we had seen them since we left Utah, and it was so fun!! We loved spending time together, and showing them a bit of Texas.

They majorly spoiled us with dinners out, mom-cooked meals, multiple grocery trips, games, and lots of love.

Friday night they took us to Spring Creek BBQ, definitely one of the best barbeque spots in Texas!

Saturday was the White Coat Ceremony, a special ceremony where the med students get their first official white doctor coats, which symbolizes the beginning of their service as a doctor. There was some awesome speakers and then the students took turns going on to the stage to put on their white coats.

I think he's going to make a pretty cute doctor!

Doctor McDreamy pose :)

We are so so happy to have the Deere's and the Warne's with us here at Medical School!

The Batty's are also here at UT Southwestern, which means 4 Bingham Miner Alumni ended up here, pretty crazy! We have the best friends here. SO many game nights and fun times.

After the ceremony, Ty's parents took us to Maggiano's, a favorite Italian restaurant in their family. I had never been before, and I have to admit, it was awesome. We got the family style meal, and there were like 6 courses. Spinach artichoke dip, anti-pasto, ceasar salad, bread....and that was all before we actually got our entrees! The entrees and desserts were amazing, and then we all went home and played fat dog.

It was so much fun to have family in Texas! Thanks for coming for Ty's special day and spoiling us. We love you! Ya'll come again! :)
